One day as I was staring into my the abyss that is my pencil bag. As I forgot what I was looking for, a thought entered my mind. What would happen if I drilled a hole in one of the pencils? After trying it out and without any explosions or injuries, I set out to make something. The result is this pencil pendant necklace. You probably already have all the supplies you need. If you do all the drilling and cutting beforehand, this would make a great kids craft project. Find other fun projects here.
Even though I only used five pencils, you can use as many as you want. Make your pencil pendant necklace your own!
- Color pencils
- Chain (any type will do)
- Jumprings (2)
- Piece of wire
- Drill (1/18 bit)
- Table saw (or something that will cut the pencils safely)
Through my 15+ years of crocheting, I have made it my goal to show the world we are more than just doily and blanket makers. And as a curious DIY crafter, I’m always getting into other projects away from the hook and yarn too.
