How To Single Crochet
Now that you mastered a crochet chain, It's time to move and learn how to single crochet. Remember to take your time and be patient. After you master this, move on to half-double crochet. You can do it!
With the hand you are holding the hook, hold the top of the chain between your middle finger and your thumb.
PRO TIP - We always skip the first stitch on the chain because this is basically the same stitch as what’s on the hook.
Go into the second chain or bump. That locks in your stitch. Holding our hook in that same way (between your middle finger and your thumb), yarn over. Pull up a loop through that chain very slowly, and now you have two little loops on the hook. Yarn over and pull through the two loops that are on the hook. It slips right on through, and you made your first single crochet.
PRO TIP - If you want something to look twisted, then single crochet is the way to go!
Keep practicing, be patient, and remember, I know you can do it!
Once you master how to crochet a chain. You can move on to the Half Double Crochet.
